This policy covers how ReuseNation LLC ("ReuseNation") treats personally identifying information that ReuseNation collects and receives, including information related to your past use of ReuseNation products and services. ReuseNation may be referred to in this Privacy Policy as "ReuseNation" or "we". Personally identifying information is information about you that allows someone to personally identify you, like your name, address, email address, phone number, and preferences that you identify and that are not otherwise publicly available (for example, your clothing size and brand preferences). This policy does not apply to the practices of companies or websites that ReuseNation does not own or control, or to people that ReuseNation does not employ or manage. This policy does not apply to information that does not allow someone to personally identify you.

When Do We Collect Personal Information?

ReuseNation collects personal information when you register with ReuseNation, when you use ReuseNation products or services, when you visit ReuseNation website pages or when you provide information to us by completing forms or applications and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. ReuseNation may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies. When we obtain information about you from business partners or other companies, we will treat it in accordance with this privacy policy. We are not responsible for our business partners' or other companies' compliance with their own privacy policies in sharing the information with us.

Types of Personal Information Collected

When you register with ReuseNation we ask for information such as your name, address, phone number, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, occupation, industry, and personal preferences and interests relevant to ReuseNation products and services. Once you register with ReuseNation and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us. ReuseNation automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, ReuseNation cookie information, and the page you request.

Use of Personal Information

ReuseNation uses the personal information we collect for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, bill you, collect fees from you, collect unpaid amounts due to us, conduct research, and provide anonymous, aggregated reporting for internal and external clients.

Cookies

When you access the ReuseNation website, ReuseNation may set and access ReuseNation 'cookies' on your computer. Cookies are small files placed on your computer that recognize you when you return to ReuseNation and that allow us to customize your user experience and improve the ReuseNation service. In addition, the ReuseNation website includes advertising that is delivered to your computer by third parties, and the companies that show advertisements on some of our pages may set and access their own cookies on your computer. You may modify the cookies that are accepted by your computer by changing your browser settings, although this may change the way the ReuseNation website is presented to you. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one, and we have no obligation to inform you of third party cookies that are set.

Confidentiality and Security

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need that information to provide products or services to you or in order to operate and improve the ReuseNation website and services. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to put in place and maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable federal and state regulations to protect personal information about you.

Accessing, Changing and Protecting Your Information

You can access and edit your ReuseNation account information at any time. While you are a ReuseNation member, we will send you certain communications relating to the ReuseNation service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and a ReuseNation Newsletter. These communications are considered part of your ReuseNation account, and you can only opt-out of receiving them by deleting your ReuseNation account. You can delete your account by contacting ReuseNation or visiting your MyAccount page. If you believe that personal information that we have about you is incorrect, and you are unable to correct that information by editing your account yourself, you may notify us by email via the ReuseNation Customer Support page and we will use reasonable efforts to correct such information.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

ReuseNation will disclose your personal information only under the following circumstances:

• to provide your email address to ReuseNation marketing partners who may issue payments to you for your processed cleanout bags in the form of those partners' gift cards or vouchers;
• to provide the information to third parties who work on behalf of or with ReuseNation to provide products or services to you under confidentiality agreements. These third parties may use your personal information to help ReuseNation communicate with you about offers from ReuseNation and from our marketing partners.
• to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
• when necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of ReuseNation's Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law;
• to any successor in interest if ReuseNation is acquired by or merged with another company, or sells a significant portion of its assets, or all of its assets, to any third party.

Notwithstanding the above, if your username reveals your identity, or if you submit Member Content (as defined in the Terms of Use) such as testimonials or website postings that reveal your identity, you are consenting to publication of that personal information on the ReuseNation site when your username and postings are published.

 

Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy forms part of, and is subject to, ReuseNation’s Terms of Use. ReuseNation may update this Privacy Policy at any time in its sole discretion. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your ReuseNation account or by placing a prominent notice on our website. If you do not agree with the terms of the updated Privacy Policy, then you should cease use of ReuseNation Site at that time. We will treat personal information collected in accordance with the privacy policy in effect when it was collected.
